The Wand® is the latest advancement in pain-reducing dentistry. It is a computer-controlled device used to administer anaesthetic – for virtually pain free injections!
It does not look or work like a “traditional” dental syringe or needle. The device looks like a ball point pen, Ideal for patients who are uncomfortable or phobic with this procedure.
Before administering injections with the Wand®, your dentist or Dental Therapist will rub a topical anaesthetic on the injection site. The Wand® delivers anaesthetic at a consistent pressure and volume, and adjusts to changes in tissue. Additionally, the anaesthetic is delivered first, insuring that the injection from the tiny needle will be painless.
